"Sega Nascar Twin" cabs advice
« on: November 17, 2017, 03:55:34 pm »
Newbie to this site and the hobby. I've been lurking around some and have an idea on how to get these cabs up and running, but want some expert advice before I get started. :notworthy:
I haven't found much info on the Nascar cabs. Are they pretty rare? Or not that desirable?
They are both missing the main boards but everything else seems to be there.
I am assuming that 2 pc's would be the way to start. I can pick up a pair of almost new ones from a buddy for $50 a piece.
I am hoping to use the wheel, pedals and h-gate shifter if possible. They also have three buttons(credit, start and view change).  So next I would guess that I need some U-HID boards to hook them up?
The wheel does have a motor attached to it. Not sure if it is force feedback or shaker. Does anybody know or can tell me how to I can figure it out? Either way I would like to keep that function if possible.
I have not yet tested the monitors, but I will keep them if they do work.
When done I would like to be able to play some(or at least one) head to head games between the two cabs and have some solo play games also.
What would the must have games be?

Thanks for any info you have!
It is going to be fun racing indoors during these cold Wisconsin winters.

Pix are a huge help, I'm pretty sure nascar was pc based and I think the games used immersion pcbs, if it did and they are still in there you'll be really far ahead of the game.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Nope, it was a Hikaru game not a PC based on, I think that didn't happen until the Lindebergh (I believe the Hikaru was liked a souped up Dreamcast, more powerful than the Naomi 1 board, but less powerful than the Naomi 2).

You are correct, I guess I was thinking of the GlobalVR game?

So, post up pictures of the wheels and everything, if there's no motor then there is no FFB.
