Emulator issue
« on: November 14, 2017, 08:22:29 am »
I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong here. I have an MAME Emulator, and have ARCADE ROMs. The ROMS’s are stored in the ROM folder that the Emulator created. When I start the MAME 64 Emulator THE ROMS are listed but they will not start. I get a message about Missing ROMS or CHD files. The unzipped file is in the ROM section as well as the contents that have been extracted. What am I doing wrong?

We need more details please.  Are you using a command line MAME? MAMEUI?

My MAME setup uses a GameEx frontend, and when i drop new roms in the folder, they have to be checked and verified by the system first.  Not required from the command line, though.

roms should remain zipped.  MAME is looking for the files in zipped folders.
