Was going to use a 19" monitor but found that to be too small, bought a 22" 16:10 ratio instead and will be using that.

Going to have a power strip on the inside wired up to one of these and plug everyhing into the power strip internally, the RPi will plug into a USB-DC power plug on the adapter, aswell as the marquee light and anything else needing USB power.

The audio amp is going to be plugged into that too with this, plugged into the internal power strip, and I'm going to power the fans via the USB-out on the amp (usb-to-molex cables). Or could just use another usb powerered hub.

Any advice for what I'm doing? anything to make it easier etc. Trying to reduce the amount of cable splitting / soldering as much as possible because I'm not confident enough in my soldering / electronic skills to not blow something / burn the place down, plus being a perfectionist I want things as neat and tidy as possible.

Looks good. Although, I'm not sure why you need the 9-12V 5A breakout cable. Audio amps typically use 12V but you mention powering everything off USB which is 5V 500mA.

Also, was shocked to see Wolverine in the reflection.

Heh! I have been having to put some oil stuff on my neck to heal a burn and it stains t-shirts.

I got the rest of the electronics stuff today (everything sans buttons/sticks), laid it out, does this look like it'll work? Anything I might be missing here etc?



Drew some lines to try show the connections. Not sure how much it'll help.

I think everything looks in order, although I'm a bit confused as to how the speakers are going to recieve audio - they only have +/- connections on them, for power? Which I guess i'll wire into that green-tipped jack connected to the Amps power supply, and the RPi audio cable goes from RPi -> AMP, but how does the audio get to the speakers? I must be missing a cable somewhere or something.

Edit: looks like maybe the wires from the speakers just slot into these clamp-type connectors on the amp?

Yep, that's it. Just connect + from the speaker to the + slot on the amp, and - to -.
