Wells Gardner D9200 - Only Green
« on: October 28, 2017, 06:19:40 pm »
I was having issues with my chasis. Brightness control no longer works, focus and text doesn't seems really crisp (could be due to the brightness issues and having the contrast and screen turned up higher than it should be), and connecting via VGA cable caused a sync issue/rolling screen.

I found a cheap replacement chasis that was untested that I connected. The issue with this one is that it seems like the Red and Blue colors aren't working as the image is very green. I tried to adjust the color settings but Green is the only one that I can increase and decrease.

My other chasis did not have this issue so I know the tube itself is good. Since I have a working neckboard what parts can I take from it to fix this Green only issue? See attached for the working neckboard. I would just use that neckboard but the connectors are slightly different as the boards are different revisions.

I've never encountered a neck board that couldn't be swapped... That said, i'd start with the on screen (OSD) menu. does it show the proper colors? it should be red blue and white in color. if these colors display, I'd say a video amp issue or possibly a ROM value issue.
