Sony PVM 2950Q
« on: October 27, 2017, 12:34:37 am »
I have a chance to buy one of these. Does anyone have any experiences with this model for Mame/GroovyMame? It looks like it has BNC input so I assume I'd need a VGA to BNC cable.

Would this be a good monitor to use with Crt Emu/GroovyMame to get custom low resolutions running with arcade games? I've read good things about PVMs but not this particular model.

It's an absolutely superb monitor, out of the box. Now, it depends on the condition. 15kHz only, but it'll go the full arcade range up to 16.2 and probably beyond.

Definitely worth a look.
