Monitor Help!
« on: October 25, 2017, 10:24:34 pm »
I am new to this board.  I own a bowling alley with a bunch of old arcade games I am trying to get running.  My first project is a Sega Cool Rider.  It works on one side perfectly.  The right side appears to be working, but there is no picture at all.  How do I go about diagnosing it?

I really appreciate the help.  I don't know anything about these machines!

if you boot up the machine does it "play blind"? IE, can you insert a coin and play a game and hear everything, just not see it?

if so, it's a monitor or power fault.

if not, it could be a board or power supply fault.

if it's a monitor fault, you will have to post what monitor it contains. take a picture of the boards and post them here and we can let you know where to go from there.
