They are battery operated but look easy to mod for use with a 3v ps or they are selling a usb adapter too soon for them. I was planning on sticking them on top of a cab perhaps.

I  bought the Mario & Luigi at full price and they are really frickin cool. I just wish Luigi was facing the other way. Side by side it would look more "correct".

I have a Megaman one in my Gameroom that I bought months ago at EB Games for about $9.  I actually prefer that they are battery operated so I can move them to places in my game room that don't have outlets near them.  They are lit with LEDs so the battery lasts a long time.  I still haven't changed mine out.  You just need to remember to turn them off after using them.

Edit:  I also picked up this Zelda light the same day for $15 on sale.  You can either run it on batteries or plug it in since it does both.  https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Legend-Zelda-Links-Decor/dp/B01N2O74AN/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508258665&sr=8-1&keywords=zelda+stained+glass+light
