The NES one made sense because it's difficult to get a NES to display properly on a modern tv. This one doesn't though. The snes has native rgb out.... get yourself a scart cable and an inexpensive scart 2 hdmi adapter and you are good to go. I did that with mine and it works great. Also there's the SNES classic, which, if you don't care about running physical carts, is better all around. And if you don't even want to fool with all of that, if your tv is old enough to still have s-video you are golden.
