Help with anti bump system for audio

Hello...

I would try to use my new amplificator audio in my driving cabinet. This require 12v CC.
The only issue is the BUMP after turning off the system.

For that reason i have buy a BUMP SUPPRESSOR but i have some problem to install it.

The scheme are below...basically i give to the ANTIBUMP 12v and getting out another 12v but im my case i get out 0v.

Can someone help me to uderstand how to connect this?  :notworthy:

Just to be clear:

1. You are connecting the blue/white wire to the REMOTE TURN-ON input on the amp and NOT the power input?
If you connected it to the power input, you probably fried the device.

2. I assume the blue ORANGE (remote turn on) to the pop eliminator is connected to 12v from the PC power supply so it turns on and off with the PC?

3. The thing you circled is a relay installed on the wire going to the speaker so that the connection is severed as soon as the key is turned off.
Are you using a relay?
I'm not sure if this will work as well with a computer since they take a while to power down.  It might work.  Only way to find out is to try it.


EDIT: said blue remote turn on, but then I noticed on the other diagram you're using it's the orange wire.

About the things you have circled......

The term "HEAD UNIT" might be lost in translation.

In the U.S. car stereo scene, that refers to the car radio in the dash.
The ones that aren't original to the car usually have a "remote turn on" output that outputs 12v when the radio is turned on.
It's used to trigger the amplifier to turn on and off with the radio.

The thing that's circled above it is a standard 12v relay used in a lot of car applications like auxillary lights.
Any car parts store will have them.

To test the device itself, start with this:


Yellow gets 12v all the time.  Black to ground.
Orange gets 12v from a different source that is only on when you want the amp turned on.

When the Orange wire gets 12v, the Orange/White wire should output 12v (possibly delayed)

Get that working first, then we'll move on to the amp.

Thank for all the replyes...

so..

I get the 12v to the BUMP (NOBUMPHARDWARE) with the YELLOW wire (and this its the only things i have get it)

After i give to the BLACK of the BUMP the GND (i bring the 12v and the gnd direct from ATX POWER SUPPLY)

(my amp dint have any switch to turn ON and OFF)

After i connected Orange/White to + ofe the ampli and the GND to the - of the amply....NOTHINGS HAPPENS no 12v

I had cheched all the output (included orange) and no wires provide 12v

I feel soo stupid...  :dunno but this is the simple wire connection.....

Power Supply                    BUMP                                       AMPLI
 
12v   ----------------------- 12v Yellow  ----------------------       +  Orange/White
GND  ----------------------- Black         
                                 |____________________________      -   Black GND

You also have to run 12V to the ORANGE wire to tell the BUMP to turn on.

The device isn't meant to power an amplifier, only to send the signal for it to turn on.
It should not be hooked up to the power input of the amplifier.

Post a pic of your amplifier inputs.

This is the advert picture...if you check closely you view all the wires.....

No switch or other input.

Lol, that doesn't help. 

Do you have the wiring diagram for the amp?  Are one of the wires labeled remote or sensing or 12v trigger?

Really though, you need to wire it like I said in reply #4 before dealing with the amp.

you mean wiring the orange with 12v output? i have try it right now...a doesnt give any 12v at the orange/white...

this is the amp....

Again, the bump device isn't meant to handle power to the amplifier running through it, only a small current to trigger the amp.

Ok...so i cant use this BUMP at the end... :badmood:

And there is any way to avoid this OFF BUMP with this amp? (because it works soo good....  :hissy: )
