Firefox Quantum browser seems FAST
<< < (3/4) > >>
Howard_Casto:
I'm serious:

The three fastest/best browsers are chrome, edge and opera, with them changing places from time to time.  Firefox is going downhill fast.

Microsoft wrote the OS, so as I said, their browsers are typically pretty darn fast.  I mean if you knew your computer history you'd know that they were actually sued for having internet explorer so integrated into the OS that it violated monopoly laws.

Article above was written February, and is out of date.  Firefox Quantum is in beta now, will be released November, looking to be quite the speed demon.

I'm browser agnostic, and jump between several depending on requirements.  I enjoy the "competition" between them, as it only means good things for us as end users.
Howard_Casto:
Yeah but  a normal person isn't going to switch between browsers very often, it's a pain with bookmark transfers and cookies, ect.  The three that I mentioned are consistently speedy.  Browser specs don't get out of date that fast btw.... when quantum is out of beta and it remains fast we'll talk.
Ken Layton:
What are the system requirement for this new quantum browser?
SlammedNiss:
I've been a Firefox user for as long as I can remember. But like Titch, it's been getting slower and slower. Doesn't help that my main hardware is going on 7 years old now. Will have to look into the Quantum. But question, but I simply transfer all my bookmarks over from my current install of Firefox to Quantum?
