Just joined a few weeks ago. Awesome site. I am building a skeeball game for my daughter's school fair. I think I have this down except for a couple of things. The ramp dimensions would be crazy awesome. I can't figure out how far back to stop the ramp before the hop starts.

From what I see, it looks like the sides of the ramp were fastened to 1"x 4"to lay the ramp base on. If anyone has ever gotten some dimensioned plans, I'd be willing to trade my vast knowledge of corrosion prevention.  ;D

Welcome aboard, Engineerphil.   ;D

There is a great ramp template picture in this post and the thread has more details about lane angle, etc.

Thanks man. You know, I've printed about every picture out that is on here, and it didn't dawn on me about the hop length picture showing the dimensions. I missed the forest for the trees.

This is the first time I am posting pictures, so don't laugh. Let's see how it goes. The game is mostly done. Since I was only given 2 weeks to do the build, I opted not to do any electronics. I am building a second game for next year that will be automated.

This little sucker was a beast. I used 2x8's for the wood. It didn't dawn on me that they were twice as wide as the 3/4" plywood until I had cut the blanks. If you have ever used a jigsaw on a piece of wood that thick, it isn't fun. I used UncleT's picture with the right angle square to make a grid pattern on a piece of cardboard. THat made it super easy to transfer. Now I just have to fasten them together and mount it.

Nice ramp, that is the hardest part of the build! Mine is too steep, and if the ball has any bounce it is like hitting a brick wall. Someday I will redo the ramp... meh, probably not.
D'oh!

Attaching my pictures of the Skeeball machine I used to own.   It includes pictures and measurements.
