Primer and sealer, is an option, but this too has its shortcomings, When the cab gets scuffed someday (they all do) you will have a bullseye of colored sealer around the damage (using a cheap waterbased product line) .... Jenn uses a clear sprayed on sealer, covered with sprayed on acrylic, color sanded to remove orangepeel and resprayed for flat,and then the sticker.(possibly burying that too in 9-15 coats of clear, for uv protection, and coverage over the depth of the sticker) depending on what your working on.
