Polybius rumor investigation
« on: September 11, 2017, 12:30:20 pm »
An INCREDIBLE video from one of my all time favorite youtube channels.  Actual, investigative journalism into the origins of the Polybius rumor.  With a cameo from Delusional's Arcade! Enjoy!

Yup.  That Youtuber approached me asking if he could use my footage for his documentary.  I gave him the thumbs up.  I'm glad I did it's a really compelling documentary and he goes pretty in depth on his research.

Yeah, all his stuff is compelling. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND his documentary on the history of graphics. It's on his channel.

Makes me feel old.

Actually ascii was used in games in home computers around 1979.  The first shooter game I coded in 6502 had no bitmap graphics, just ASCII.  Nice video, a bit dull in narrating.

Maybe you'd prefer someone like this to narrate? Haha

Anyone else find his videos odd? Other than those two (graphics and Poly), They are for guns but like he never shows them... only what they look like in video games.  ???

yeah, from what i can tell that was some of his earlier stuff. Then some of these type of videos came out, and the channel grew.  So he still does some gun stuff, with these history-style videos, too.  Check out the videos on half-life, doom, wolfenstein and the like if you're interested in more along those lines.
