Help Installing ATX PSU in Bartop Cabinet
« on: August 31, 2017, 04:13:40 pm »
I'm building a bartop arcade cabinet and am ready to install my electronics. What I'm struggling with is a way to install the computer PSU, as it will be sitting on the bottom of the cabinet and needs to be secured down.
Is there some kind of standard bracket for an ATX PSU that can clamp down from the tension of screws driving into the surface below? I've attached a mockup of what I envision this looking like.

Any other suggestions are also welcome. Thanks!

Why not ditch the bulky ATX and use a picoPSU + standard 12v brick instead?

Send me some dimensions and I can 3d Print some for you. Something like that that would be 3 bucks plus shipping.

I've already got all the hardware from an older computer build, and I have plenty of room in the bartop for the PSU + Mobo as it's a fairly large widescreen kit.

Thank you for the very kind offer! I believe I've found a simple solution thanks to a suggestion from reddit - steel hanger strap. That should hold nicely and can unscrew if needed.
