Sounds like a great place for a wind farm.

Yep, there's already a huge one off the coast of Corpus Christi... Or there was.

So how about an update.  Is your house floating away or did it skip your area?  Don't mistake my bluntness for lack of concern.... that's just how I am.

Did you guys insure your pinball and arcade machines?

We are fine. We are just north of Cypress Creek in northern Harris County. The creek is flooded which means getting anywhere south of the creek (like work) is impossible.

We had a 3 hour power outage yesterday but power has been steady other than that.

I think we've had about 20 inches of rain here with maybe another 10 to go. At the storm's peak, water got up to the top of the curbs at my house. But several houses in my neighborhood had problems. Although it has rained steadily, the water is draining well.

I think arcade machines are covered under building contents.
Old, but not obsolete.

So far, so good.  I'm two blocks off Brays Bayou, but I'm on the high side.  All that footage you're seeing of Meyerland?  That's what the low side looks like.  Friends and coworkers haven't been so lucky.  My parents little house in Rockport is fine - all the surrounding homes are destroyed.   :-\

over 40" of rain here in Friendswood, but our house is (relatively) dry and cars are safe in garage. Many friends and co-workers who are close by aren't so lucky, and had to be evacuated with water in their homes. Not quite over yet, as dams around the city are being slowly released which will impact surrounding neighborhoods. It's still raining  :dizzy:

Here's my street right now - on Friday night it was 2/3 up driveways.
