So how about an update. Is your house floating away or did it skip your area? Don't mistake my bluntness for lack of concern.... that's just how I am. |
Titchgamer:
Them be some serious floods! Hope your families n houses are safe! |
ark_ader:
Did you guys insure your pinball and arcade machines? |
Cakemeister:
We are fine. We are just north of Cypress Creek in northern Harris County. The creek is flooded which means getting anywhere south of the creek (like work) is impossible. We had a 3 hour power outage yesterday but power has been steady other than that. I think we've had about 20 inches of rain here with maybe another 10 to go. At the storm's peak, water got up to the top of the curbs at my house. But several houses in my neighborhood had problems. Although it has rained steadily, the water is draining well. I think arcade machines are covered under building contents. |

All that footage you're seeing of Meyerland? That's what the low side looks like. Friends and coworkers haven't been so lucky. My parents little house in Rockport is fine - all the surrounding homes are destroyed. :-\ |
