Tbf ime sure someone will hack it shortly to remove the DRM so just wait a little longer.

From my understanding of what I have read though Sega had no say in it and are pissed off about it also.
SEGA is the games publisher, how could they NOT have a say?

I dont know but I read earlier that Sega did not want it and have told disgruntled people "to make their voices heard"

I heard Christian Whitehead / HeadCannon were pissed about the DRM, not SEGA.

Perhaps that was what it was, thought it said something about one of Segas honchos being pissed.

Its a shite thing to have either way really, the people who made that choice should be sacked...

Sonic's PR manager Aaron Webber , is the one who was unhappy with the DRM. Not sure if genuine or PR being PR.

Indeed, this makes no sense.

In my experience this is always done because the publishers insist on it.

I've never encountered anybody working on the actual software who wants it at all.  Anybody with even the slightest understanding of how this game came about would be against it.

This is the perfect kind of game to have a GOG.com release (if it gets one, I'll be buying it on the PC in addition to the copy I already own)
