Rotating Monitors

Johnny:

If You are rotating a Lcd monitor, do You have to degauss??

hyiu:

I don't think so... I have a LCD flat screen for my room and I use it to play Mame sometimes... rotate it and tilt it, and so far, no discoloring...

JMDickson:

You never will.  LCD's don't rely on magnets to draw a picture like CRT's do.  In fact they will always have perfect geometry... unless you crack it!

Carsten Carlos:

Absolutely no problem - anyway, a LCD-monitor hasn't any magnetic parts in it, so there is nothing to degauss there anyway.
A LCD-monitor would be cool for a avantgarde-styling cabinet (saw this on some page), but absolutely looks unauthentic compared to a arcade-monitor because of its blockiness.

Johnny:

Thanx Guys, for the reply.
I was planning to use an Lcd monitor for my Cocktail project, and now i certainly will.
