Making a audio file - Need some help!
« on: August 13, 2017, 06:31:15 am »
Can anyone reccomend a bit of software that I can easily make a MP3 file with?

I want to make a short (about 4 seconds) MP3 file from some small MP3 files I have.

Basicly I have a Gunshot MP3 and a Yeehaa MP3 and I want to join them in the following fashion:

0.5 seconds - First Gunshot
1.0 seconds - 2nd gunshot
1.5 seconds - yeehaa.

I can find programs to join mp3 files but nothing to time them like above so can anyone reccomend something?
Or be willing to knock it together for me?

There is a program called Windows Movie Maker/Windows Live Movie Maker that was included with several versions of Windows between ME and 10.

You can add multiple sound effects and adjust the start/end times.

I don't remember if there are any audio-only output formats available using that program, but it wouldn't be difficult to output as an .AVI then rip the sound to .MP3.

I'd offer to do it for you, but my old XP Media Center laptop needs a full OS reinstall and backup restore.   :(
