Plywood is 7/16" instead of 1/2"? What T-Molding do I use?

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but... I bought two sheets of plywood that said they were 1/2", but when I measured the thickness of the plywood recently it seems like it's actually 7/16". It doesn't seem like people sell T-Molding in that size. Would 1/2" t-molding work or would it be too big?

Very little wood is actually the advertised dimensions.  Much as a 2x4 is not actually 2" x 4".  1/2" ply is meant to get a layer of laminate on it, then it will actually be 1/2"...  Just use normal 1/2" T-molding.  You'll have about 1/32" of an inch overhang on each side, barely enough to notice.  If it bothers you that bad, they make little tools to shave the molding down on each side to match the material.

You use a box cutter to cut the excess off.
