Groovymame NES palette?
« on: July 29, 2017, 04:21:16 am »
Is there any way to change the NES palette? I have GM running on an NTSC tv, the resolution and refresh are perfect but the colors look nothing like my real NES. I don't know how mame generates its NES/Famicom palette but I assume I can't just load a different file like most other emulators.

Also, arcade roms like Super Game III that have NES games in them also display the colors incorrectly.

For NES/SNES I ended up switching to Retroarch. It has better overall emulation of those and lower input lag (and properly saturated palette). I fully intend to switch back to GroovyMame as soon as the emulation improves for those two.

Yeah I've switched to mednafen for nes for the moment, runs great! SNES uses more than one video mode though so even with the lacking emulation in mame, it's probably what I'll stick with for now.
