Can we close up this section?
« on: July 28, 2017, 08:37:27 am »
Cause the wiki uhhhh..... doesn't exist.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Yeah all it says is:

[65fc0f44] 2017-07-29 04:57:06: Fatal exception of type MWException

which I assume means it died in its sleep.

It means that Saint and/or Sirwoogie still haven't made the necessary configuration changes to the new wiki server.

The problem is that unless and until the server is reconfigured, those "Fatal exception of type MWException" errors will prevent users from accessing the pages.

Good news: The files are all there for both the new wiki and the old.

Evidence: If you know the URL for an image, you can link to it.

Code: [Select]

So far, the only other piece of slightly-good news regarding the wiki is that some of the pages like the FAQ were backed up by the archive.org bots.

Any progress on this?

I cannot keep moaning about the noobs asking boring questions, if there is no wiki to send them to. That would just kill it for me. :lol
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

Still waiting on Saint to properly configure the newwiki server.   ::)

For now, all we can do is use the archive.org backups of the pages like the FAQ that were crawled prior to the server change.

New wiki:

Old wiki:

Just wanted to say that being a rookie in cabinet building, the resurrection of the wiki would be fantastic!  I've printed off the archived OND Metropolis wiki to use as a reference guide for my build. However, like PL1 mentioned, only certain pages were archived so I'd love to see more info (on controls specifically).

*whew* Thanks for being a bigger dick than me in this thread =)
Saint reached out to me, I replied, now I'm just waiting on him for a follow up. Then I can get in there and figure out what's wrong and fix it.  AFAIK all the files are there but there's some sort of config or permission issue which shouldn't be too hard to figure out once I get a look at the log files.

If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.
