Setup Xbox 360 joystick

Hi

i build an arcade xbox 360 for fighting games....http://jackiabu.blogspot.co.il/

now i want to play other games ...and some of them not using d'pad

can i set up only the dpad on xbox 360 stick? some xbla arcade games works only on thumbstick

If you hack a MadCatz Fightpad or Brawlpad instead, it has a switch that makes the D-pad act as the Left or Right analog stick.

If you are talking about on the 360 and not the pc, you HAVE to get a gamepad or encoder board that has the analog stick inputs to use them..... you don't have any other option.  Hack a cheap knock-off pad if money is the issue. 

That being said, games that don't use the d-pad are probably games that need analog inputs, so they aren't going to be fun to play on a digital joystick anyway.
