Pocket Hole Jig
« on: July 15, 2017, 04:59:35 pm »
I am sort of fascinated with pocket holes. Its neat how you can do it and have hidden screws. Keep in mind as far as woodworking goes Im like an infant trying to bang the square block through the diamond hole. So I don't know a lot about tools. To make pocket holes does this look ok or should I be looking at something entirely different. https://www.amazon.com/Kreg-R3-Pocket-Hole-System/dp/B000J43A7W/

I have the Kreg K4 kit.  I've taken on a lot of projects that I considered above my skill level before getting this thing.  A small lightweight 12v lithium impact driver to drive the screws makes the jobs feel even easier.  (Still use the corded drill to drill out the pockets)

I've used my Kreg jig for plenty of projects around the house - I'm not a handyman or woodworking expert, so it definitely helps.  I am just about done building my first arcade cabinet and I used the Kreg for just about everything and it seems quite sturdy.
