Laminate vs Veneer
« on: July 12, 2017, 02:47:43 pm »
Hello,

I am going to build my first bartop and I like the look of walnut wood.  I am debating to go with a Walnut veneer over plywood or possibly a walnut looking laminate from Wilsonart.  If I go with the veneer then I will put a couple of coats of wipe on poly to help with durability.

I wanted to see if anyone had a suggestion on what might work better.  It seems like a toss up at the moment.

Thanks

Wilson art laminate is nice looking and durable. Just make sure you account for the thickness when you buy tmolding
