Agreed. This hobby can be done cheaply, BUT the problem is as soon as you are done with one project you get the idea for the next and it snowballs from there. In the case of people like me, you get the idea for the next project before you finish the last and you have a row of 90% completed cabs. |

I can: A) put money in the bank, let it sit there and get feck all interest. B) spend it on stuff to enrich my life. My first MAME cab has LED buttons, had a spinner, had a lit trackball. Every build since then there has been A emphasis on quality parts that are practical. I know what to spend my money on now. I'll never buy LED buttons again. I don't think I'll ever use a LCD as a marquee. I'd rather spend my money on quality keyboard encoders and joysticks. |
