Which program to curate rom lists for your frontend?
« on: June 21, 2017, 10:22:43 am »
All,

I finally jumped back into things and built a new cabinet.  I'm attempting to get a frontend setup (either HyperSpin, Attract-Mode, or LaunchBox.. not sure which).

I'm trying to figure out the best software to do the following:

  • Remove all clones. with some caveats.  (I want PACMAN, not puckman.  Nobody knows to look for that ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---)
  • Remove crap I can't use.  Driving games, poker, etc.
  • Curate lists by game type/category

Lightspeed MameLister was looking like the most promising option, but the author seems to have disappeared, and is no longer developing the software.

Any suggestions, caveats, things to look out for, etc would be helpful.

Attractmode filters can do what you want.
