Retrocade Entertainment System
« on: June 18, 2017, 01:51:47 pm »
This is my project I have been working on for a few years. Just recently got around to putting artwork on it, which has inspired me to finish all the programming!
This was originally a Space Duel, which had been converted into many machines, the last of which was a Neo Geo when I acquired it. The metal control panel made this project a real pain! (I would not recommend it) However, it did give some cool spot to put My start, exit, and pause buttons.
Using Hyperspin and RocketLauncher.

Love the theme integration and especially the stripes on the side. Nice work!

Yeah I dig it! The stripes are definitely cool. The colours remind me of Taito Double dragon cabs. Part of me wishes those guns had a lil grey on em  :lol

Love the stripes on the side... really don't care for the marquee... overall though I think you did a real good job.

Are those Guncon2's aimtrak converted or are you running WinGun/Smog's driver?

The stripes really pop!

Very clean, nice job!

The fox and leaf bezel art seems a bit out of place though.  :laugh2:

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking about painting the guns to look more like the NES Zapper, but I couldn't come up with a good looking design. I'm running aimtrak through them, but I still need to finish wiring the second gun.
The marquee art on either side of the NES is a throw back to the original boxes for the games. Using the action series and light gun series.
