R89 e rr3
« on: June 13, 2017, 09:04:23 pm »
Hi All,

My R89 is working fine however I get E rr3 displayed momentarily when it turn it on.
In service mode, Er r3 displayed on the CCC.
If I clear the code, it returns immediately when I switch from service to on mode.
I have searched, but no avail.
Thoughts?

Error 3 means rom chip Z7 is bad inside the Central Control Computer. You may have to send it (the Central Control Computer board) out for repair.

Ken is correct Z7 is defective, you could try replacing this program chip for another one before sending the board to a Rowe Ami specalist, it needs to be programmed for a R-89 jukebox or the digits on the display will be in the wrong location.

Hi Lastdart,

If you can not locate a chip in the USA I can supply you from the UK.

Contacted Bruce at http://rowejukeboxparts.com
He sent me a new EPROM.  I have not installed it yet as all seems to be functioning fine.
Wait or install??  'Tis the question.
