High Score Competition #219: Quartet (Singlet)

High Score Competition Rules and Scoreboard

Don't you wish that there was a platform jumper version of Gauntlet?
Wish no more!
Sega heard you, went back in time to 1986, & make Quartet!

"Human characters collect guns and power-ups to destroy a variety of robots in a space base. Defeat the boss character and collect the key to unlock the base's door and move on to the next level. Up to four people may join in on the fun." [Unless you're playing the BYOAC competition, then no friends allowed...not that we probably have friends in the first place...]

https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9192

Rom : quartet

8-way Joystick
Fire button
Jump button

Default settings
Credit Power: 1000
Difficulty: normal

Competition ends Sunday June 18, 2017, midnight Pacific Time.

PS--First game score: 125,000. I could see some long game times on this.

PPS--What does the colored ball do? You can shoot them to change the color. Presumably, you want to change the color to match your jumpsuit before picking it up...?

After missing last game, I've finally carved out some time to play. For some reason, I used to hate this game. But I'm liking it, now.

I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow, staying at my sister's house for 10 days. She also has an arcade cabinet, but unfortunately a 60-1. This will probably be my only go, sadly. Good game.

Weird game. Played it for years on SMS before I encountered the equally weird arcade cabinet...

The scoreboard.

Since acvieluf made the 3rd place but currently is on vacation, I suggest that GrizzlyThunder should choose the next one.

My man! I've got it narrowed down to three options. I'll make a decision soon.

Captain America and the avengers is my choice. I however do not know the rom name and I'm on mobile so I won't be able to do a good post until tonight.
