pbj:
Easily pushed out with a toothpick.  This hobby may not be for you.

Schnookums:
That's nice dear, but shh...is grownup speaky time now. Talk to me after you've had your nap.

pbj:
So, when you drill plastic, some of it melts, and sticks to the larger piece.  It should snap off very easily.  Yes, a vendor should have cleaned that up before you got it.... but... c'mon.  Push a nail through that hole and it'll be fine.

Also, how exactly are you ill equipped for trimming control panel artwork?  Mount the artwork and run a knife around the edges of your control panel.  And, yes, that's how all control panel artwork is done.

yotsuya:
Naw, they shouldn't have sent it out that way. Even if it's just some excess, that should be shipped with clean holes. It says something about the attention to detail the vendors pays.

Oh, and James is right about the artwork. That should be a non-issue.

Schnookums:
Well, now that we've been sufficiently impolite to each other it's time to get down to brass tacks. Or acrylic.

I will state that I was in the wrong about the artwork. The examples they gave when giving instructions for mounting the artwork didn't involve trimming the edges. But if that's the way it is then that's on me.

As far as the acrylic, I did try to break it off several ways, including pushing the bolt through, and it actually didn't come off all that easy. I had to put enough strength behind it that I was concerned that I'd crack something. And really, it shouldn't have shipped with that still in place.
