High Score Competition Rules and Scoreboard

(Trackball/spinner is clearly the way to go, but that would likely prevent some from competing.)

"Game in which you control a rotating circle of pegs which you try to get a falling, bouncing character to touch and eliminate." (Wow, eliminate? Gross...)

https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=18626

Rom : peggle

2-way Joystick

Default settings
Scoring Time Initial: 60
Scoring Time Extra Racks: 20

Competition ends Sunday June 4, 2017, midnight Pacific Time.

PS--first quickie game score: 19,900

PPS--I remember this being more fun when I played it a while ago--hopefully I was right then & wrong tonight...

19800 so far

This game is challenging without a spinner. I was getting wicked frustrated with that dude and my coordination lol. Fun game though.

I am still struggling with this game, any tips? Cursing at the thing has not been effective.

- Learn how to control PeggleMan. Instead of just letting him drop onto a peggle, whack him with the peggles, so that he goes flying. You can keep him up by alternately hitting him left / right,
by hitting him from below or by smashing him into the screen boundaries.

- As long as you have got time left, do not use the trampoline or the clock extra, as those might save your life later.

- As long as you have got time left, go for the ?, this might give you 5000 points if you are really lucky.

- Whacking PeggleMan with peggles that need more hits to be destroyed often destroys them with a single hit.

- You can use the springs between the vats to jump over the vats so that you land in the one that you want.

- Keep cursing.

Show off.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Showing off again. You get a 'perfect rack' for popping all pegs in one go without touching the vats, not even the trampoline.

Level 1 :

Level 2 :

Finally had some free time to play a bit - 90,680

Got lucky and got passed the 5th stage and then the 6th is pretty easy and 7th has dual characters to control. Tried a couple more games afterwards but couldn't get past the 5th wave again so could only get to 70K. The points add up quick once you get going. Still a little time so might keep trying to break 100K - but doubt I can make it to the 180K 1st place default score.

Definitely helps to learn how to control him at the carts - save the time extend and use the trampoline until you have to use the time extend if the trampoline hasn't reset and you can keep him in play for a good bit of time.
