Lighting for my coin door reject buttons

Hi,

I want to light my coin door reject buttons, but I'm not sure what is the best method,
since I don't have a real coin door.

This is the frontside of my pinball controller :

Would something like this work :



with one of these




I would like to be able to light these with my pac-drive.

There's probably an easier solution to light these,
but I'm a total newbie when it comes to lighting buttons.

I don't have the pac-drive yet, but I want to light all my buttons with it ( rom controlled )
and then I thought, why not light the coin slots as well ?

Theres going to be many ways to light them, the option you provided would work, just remember if they are 12v bulbs you will need to provide your own power source.

Some options I can think of:

It looks like you have put forth great effort to have a functioning coin door so I am not sure you would want to go with something like the NovaGemCDR.



Or you can buy a couple Ultimarc Ultralux buttons and remove the mount/LED and just super glue them into the holes.


Or you can just order the bulbs, solder the wires without the mount and glue them in.

Good suggestion, that also crossed my mind,
but I wasn't sure how much of the button could be dismantled.
That would be easiest way I guess.
And I can order the ultralux from Ultimarc as well,
so that is a good idea indeed !!

Consider using a wedge-base lamp holder like this one.



Also consider using LEDs (longer life, less current, less heat) instead of incandescent bulbs.

It's easier to find wedge-base LEDs than bayonet-style LEDs.

That 90 degree one is a really good option so you dont have to glue anything.

If your going the Ultralux way you could just order 2 white buttons with 2 spare red ones. Then you will be able to see what looks best. its only 3$ more.

I did a rigged up coin door like you on ball buster. I just used a spare white led from my led buttons and mounted it with duct tape. It was supposed to be a temporary mount but i still havent changed it.

Finally ordered the ultralux white pushbutton, spare red led's and PacDrive from Ultimarc.com
