WTB : Router/Woodworking Services
« on: April 13, 2017, 01:07:50 pm »
My winter project has been restoration on an '87 Champion boat.

The original glove box door was teak and beyond restoration.

I have not been able to find an aftermarket replacement or other part that will work so I find myself looking at fabricating one.

My thinking has been to use marine starboard (think of it as cutting board material) which can be cut just like wood.

I will need a frame and a door approximately 14.5" x 6.5" outside dimensions.

I have some experience and a small trim router I use for door hinges, etc but would consider farming this out to someone if anyone might have an interest and we of course can agree on a price for your time.

I am based in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area but not against someone that is outside the area.

If I went with Starboard, I would ship the materials.

Please feel free to contact me here or PM.

I look forward to any and all replies.

Do you have photos of what you're trying to recreate? May help in getting some response.
