Having problems getting Sega Genesis> X Men game to work with Xbox 360 control

My Xbox 360 controller (wireless) works great with all games on my Hyperspin drive
but it doesn't work on my Sega Genesis> X Men game.

Is anyone able to get their Xbox 360 controller to work with this ROM game?

Make sure you are not using the cheap knock-off wireless receivers on ebay.  Get the official M$ ones from amazon.  There is a difference.
