I'm working with Bruno on the documentation for connecting arcade controls to various consoles via the KADE miniArcade 2.0.

We're looking for good quality images of both the console jack and the controller plug to make into clear pinouts for GameCube and Nintendo64.

Here are examples of the Playstation and Wii pinout images.

Thanks in advance for any GC/N64 images you can provide.

:applaud:  Thanks, Chopper!  Those pics are perfect.

We'll be sure to give you credit for taking them.   ;D

That just leaves the very-hard-to-photograph GameCube connectors.

One of my gamecubes is dismantled for parts. Need any inside pics? Or better yet pay for shipping and you can have it.

Thanks for the offer, but there's no need for inside pics -- just ones of the console and controller connectors like Chopper did for the N64.

I'm making pinout pictures for a table showing how to connect a miniArcade 2.0 via the onboard RJ-45 port (or solder the wires directly to your 32u4 AVR board if you want to "roll your own") to a GameCube/N64/PS1/PS2/Wii/Wii U/NES Classic.

Here's how Chopper's N64 pics turned out.

This was the best i could do with poor lighting and a samsung phone. I cant even get a shot of the controller connector thats nkt super blurry from the flash or too dark from no flash.

Check for a macro setting on your samsung phone (usually a flower icon). Also get creative with the setup and lighting and getting phone to stationary position with spring clamps or tape. Get to know the 3sec timer function as well. I used my super terrific Chinese spyware ZTE phone for my pics, even had to down size them by 70% to post here since they were like 4.5mb each.

good day.

I can try my hand at snapping some pictures, but based on my gc attempt I wouldn't expect much.

Yeah, that's the best one spotted so far.

Didn't want to use that pic without their permission, though.

Thanks, thomas_surles!

Scott, once you have the new manual ready send it to me and I will release a new version with a more stable DC, N64 and GC output support!

User Guide text and Bill Of Materials are already updated with the new DC info.

The only thing left is adding the Dreamcast pinout image.

I've got a few variations of the Saturn controller (the original controller, the later version that has rounded edges, and the 3D analog
controller) ... will take pics sometime this afternoon and upload them.  I don't have a Saturn console though, so no luck there.

Also, I've got controllers for most mainstream and some of the more obscure systems as well (virtual boy, 3do, commodore 64, turbografx 16, neo geo cd, amiga cd32, colecovision, phillips cd-i, atari 2600/5200/7800, and others)... if pics of any of those would be helpful just let me know.

I've got a miniConsole+ that is awesome to use my older controllers with... I would love to be able to help add support for this miniArcade device if I could.

That's fine.  ;D

I found a few pics of the Console Jack that might work so a few good pictures of this 9-pin controller connector with pins clearly visible would be the last piece of the puzzle.

Thanks for your kind offer.   ;D

If Bruno adds any more consoles to the miniArcade 2.0, we'll mention it in either this thread or the KADE miniArcade 2.0 beta release thread.

I've got a miniConsole+ that is awesome to use my older controllers with... I would love to be able to help add support for this miniArcade device if I could.
The miniConsole+ is mostly for using console controllers on a variety of consoles/systems, and the miniArcade 2.0 is mostly for using arcade controls on a variety of systems/consoles.

The miniArcade 2.0 Mapper software is Bruno's outstanding C++ rewrite of Jon's python miniConsole+ Mapper software, with a few new bells and whistles.

MiniArcade 2.0 runs on a variety of inexpensive 32u4 AVR boards -- check out the beta release thread for more details.

I actually realized that I've got an extension cord for the Saturn, so I tried to snap pics of both the jack and connector.  Had a hard time getting clear shots with decent lighting, so I took them outside (forgive the dead lawn, it's summer and I live in California haha).

Would you like your photo credit line to read, "Saturn connector photos used with the permission of BYOAC member thatpurplestuff." or something different?
