cant get the player when down to work in atrac mode on my zero delay setup

please help cant get the down on my zero delay player 1 when i confic it in atrac mode it will not go down but it will go down on my keyboard and the down button works in all emulators on when i am no in atrac mode ? i have tried everything

I've been wracking my brain. I can't think of a cause. Can you post your attract mode cfg file? (or at least the button assignment part of it?)

i have gotten some replies for the pie group i am on and they all say its something with reys 128 gb image that i need to change something here is what they told me to do but i dont know how to get into the pie and change this stuff !

here is what they told me to do :
I don't know my problem was the same as yours but but up ad down joystick didn't work either. Under /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig edit dragonRiseInc.GenericUSBJoystick.cfg edit our input_down_axis and input_up_axis to whatever your pi sees it. My emulators cfg was 1 and under /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig was 3 so i simply changed it and it worked. i don't know if its the same for you.

I can't verify the solution posted. It looks like it's telling you to edit the configurations of Retroarch. If your emulators are working correctly, then that solution won't help you. Can you post the attract.cfg file?

To find it exit attract mode to the command line

type:

sudo pico /home/pi/.attract/attract.cfg

Mine looks like this (some irrelevant stuff removed for clarity):
