I know this is not related exactly but in the ballpark.... but I have been trying to get Sega Bass Chalenge to work in Demul (Atomiswave) for a while and cannot seem to get it to work.  Is there a trick to this?  I unzipped the folder to compare the files that are in there vs. what is required to run the game.  Everything seems to be present but the game will not run.

Says vera.u3 is missing but it is in the zip file and seems to be the correct size.

Yes, just try the Sega Bass Fishing Challenge Version A, it has to be version A, and you use the mouse and mouse buttons to play, its default no way to change that, but there you go.
And if the rom is wrong you can always go to your MAME rom folder and copy the rom from there, it will work

Thanks Alex.  That's what I have been trying to do and still no luck.  I am using my MAME rom and trying to run Version A because it matches my rom file, "basschal".  I have a trackball on my arcade control panel and would be able to use that.  The original game used a trackball so I really wont to get it going.  Not sure why I am having such difficulties with this one game.  Is there a source that will allow you to audit Demul roms like the MAME audit so I might be able to figure out what exactly I'm missing?
