I was planning on it... then my wife got prego... expecting our first on April 11th. So I am on baby duty for the foreseeable future.  :dizzy:

Tell her you’re stepping out for Huggies, get on airplane. Problem solved.

Hmmm, this cabinet looks nice from a design point of view.
But It also doesn't make much sense to me.

Playing arcade games on a small desk with a build in small LCD ...???

LCD for classic arcade is a "no go".
And if you really want to play on an LCD, why don't you just build a custom arcade stick and play on your living room tv or on your computer desk.

I also think the performance of your Celeron PC is much too low.
Even for the old classics you'd better have a  dual core with a high CPU frequency to play with minumum lag.

I think the pics are deceiving, it's not a small desk with a small LCD.  The buttons are ~38" from the floor, pretty normal for a stand up arcade cabinet.  As mentioned above it's a 32" monitor, and the cabinet is ~44" wide.  For perspective, the top of the lid is 24"x48" and when opened up it's ~68" tall.  It's basically the same size as a real arcade cabinet only wider.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about whether or not an LCD is authentic.  I believe MAME has some video settings that try to imitate both "real" vector graphics displays as well as scan lines and blur of a CRT - but I haven't bothered.  I get why a purist would want a CRT, but I also get why a purist would want a real stand-up cabinet, not something that closes down to a large-ish cabinet.

I've swapped out the slow celeron powered nettop for an old "real" desktop.  The nettop was just fine for most stuff, but there are some games it didn't play that the desktop does.

Sure, this works somehow with a crapy old Mame version.

But I am not talking about fps.
I am also talking about input lag, tearing ...

And

Nonsense.
