I feel like that was intentional to keep it from being better than the Switch version. Not a fan of crafting or weapons that break but oh well. --- End quote --- Yeah it seems obvious that they gimped this one. I saw a side by side video comparison of the two versions and the Switch version removes the pixelization around the edges... that's literally the only difference. There's some optional motion-control fu in the game, most notably you can look through the slate and aim some weapons by tilting the gamepad... it makes me think that the game would have been more fun if they threw up the action on the gamepad's screen for better aiming, but they couldn't do that because the switch doesn't have two screens to play with. The crafted weapons and recipes, ect. are indeed quite annoying. You can't do fun stuff like chop down trees or cut grass because you are constantly worried you'll break your weapon. I mean there are plenty of weapons so you aren't going to run out, but using some wooden club from a monster just feels wrong for a Zelda title. That's my only real complaint. |

Awesome, glad to hear you guys are liking it. I went to the GDC talk for the game and it was awesome how they talked about the elements design and how this Zelda is different in that there are many different ways to solve a puzzle/obstacle. They also talked about how engine prototyping ultimately lead to that re-releasing of Wind Waker HD. They used multiple Zelda engines to find out which was the most viable and using WW as a start was their best option. |

Yeah I saw an article where they roughed out the game maps by making them in the original legend of Zelda. It makes me wonder why they don't release Legend of Zelda maker... they have a mocked up engine anyway. |
