crt to led tv
« on: February 28, 2017, 10:48:46 am »
Is there an easy way to install a led tv that has no vga input in a dedicated nfl blitz cabinet. the crt took a dump and all the led tvs now do not have a vga input. I could install the vga converter then a vga to hdmi converter, but that istoo much wiring. do they make a simple solution to this yet?

False. Many new tvs still have vga input. I could walk into Walmart and point them out. Not to mention, a "monitor" is the same thing as a tv just without the tuner, and almost every one I have ever seen has vga input.

Vizio is pure junk. The last two I bought had failing issues right off the rip and they gave me bs about warranty. Buy a real tv.

You can get a VGA to HDMI converter, they are under $10

And Vizio TVs are just fine.  In fact Vizio P series TVs are one of the highest rated panels out there.  :)

I have had many Vizio and they have been great. I'm just looking for an option to not have to have Loren then one adaptor just to get the picture on the new tv.

Beats getting a new TV/monitor right?
TVs with VGA are still availible:
https://www.amazon.com/Element-ELEFW328R-720p-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B01HQS8UZA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488389016&sr=8-1&keywords=32%22+tv+vga

It’s useless. I tried saying that. I see them at walmart near my house all the time. I just checked online and they even have brand new 32“ led tv displays with vga input in stock at their location a mile from my house. Whatever. :dunno

On a golden tee conversion I've tried 3 different TVs and 3 different monitors and all the pc monitors work and all the TVS didn't. I would guess the PC monitors have a broader range of frequencies.

I have had good luck using a pic to tv via vga. My old work had them everywhere in hallways and the enterance. They do work. Check the tv manual. It should have a specific resolution to set to, and have a range of 50-60hz.

Ah yes. I've discovered the delights of HDMI PC to TV  resolutions this morning. Flickering back and forth to a black screen.

I don't wish to be a moaning dinosaur but why the hell isn't a TV just darn well displaying what is sent to it the same as TVs always have which includes my previous Samsung flat screen that went bang 3 weeks ago. Why is this suddenly a problem with a new LG Smart?
