I wanted a mini NEO GEO but I wanted 2 adults to be able to play comfortably so this is what I came up with.  It's approximately 4'x2'x'2. It's the height of a NEO GEO mini and the width of a regular upright.

Sides drawn out.

Cutting in progress.

One side cut.

Flushing the other side with the router. (Also routed the T-molding slot)

Starting to come together.

Monitor mounted.

Coin door fitted.

Speaker slots routed.

Control panel and bezel test fitted.

Drilling control panel holes.

Holes drilled. This is a MAME cabinet so I added more buttons for fighting games.

Testing coin counter.

Real NEO GEO marquee trimmed down to size.

Finished control panel.

Black paint.

Red paint.

Side art.

Volume, Service, Power, Coin Counter

Innards.

Control panel opened.

Finished product.

Updated 4/11/19:

Upgraded the PC to an AMD A4 with 8GB RAM and a 480GB SSD

Installed .900 token mechs

Got a change machine to dispense tokens

Made front panel graphics

Replaced acrylic bezel with glass.
Switched to iL joysticks and buttons.

Super tidy work!  :applaud:

Did you ever consider getting a larger screen and placing it in the cab vertically thus keeping the width of the cab in line with a real Neo Geo cab?

That's a great idea but I was using parts that I already had on hand.  ;D
