Spray paint may sound cheaper but the amount of cans you need to have a nice finish is actually quite expensive.

Buy good paint and a good roller. Stop being cheap.

Depending on size, laminate can be cheaper than paint...if you're painting correctly at least.

$10 can of oil based paint and a pack or two of $1 disposable rollers.

You could go the Malenko route and leave the walls unfinished.  Make sure you moan about being broke while you start threads about your latest $1,500 project.

Is there any good black all in one primer/paint for the insides of cabs?

1 quart of "Mica Black" colored "paint and primer in one" paint and a foam roller.

Get yourself a can of latex paint in whatever color you want. Paint it on your cab, brush or roller doesn't matter. Do 2 to 3 thick coats. Then once its dry, use a sander and sand the brush marks off. Sand just through the brush marks not through to the wood. Then finish with spray paint in the same or similar color as your base coat. The brush on provides a nice thick base and the spray paint gives you a nice finish coat with no brush marks. Less work than it sounds like.

Rustoleum Painters Touch 2x Ultra Cover has worked great for me.  Home Depot has it in quart cans with a bunch of different colors - about $8 a can.

Paint is one of those things that you can't fake and you can't cheap if you want a high end result.  Buy cheap paint, it's easily damaged.  Don't put in the extra work, get mediocre results.  There's just no way around it.
