My cousin Michael and his long-term partner Scott just eloped. They are still planning a large wedding for family & friends but they decided not to risk waiting, do to the ages of Justice Ginsberg and Kennedy.
Mike loved my builds and asked me if I could do a small one for the kids to play at his wedding. I usually try to set goals for projects around expanding my skills or in some way working out side my comfort zone. Mike was, and still is, a big SNES guy so I am making the side art for this mostly from modified art assets from super Nintendo games. I'm only using the SNES color palette. I usually don't like pixelated Sprite art on builds, so the challenge is to do one that doesn't look unintentionally ridiculous.
Art Goals
- Keep all the Sprite small so not to look ridiculously pixelated
- As much as possible use original SNES sprits and back grounds, modified to fit the theme.
- It needs to be a wedding themed, mostly using asset from Super Mario world (The all stars version) and Final Fantasy 4,5,6 sprites (6 is his favorite game of all time)
- Pink triangles and rainbow flags need to make appearances
Any feed back on how to make my Scott & Mike sprits look more like the real people. Also ideas on making them look like they are in white tuxedos or suits.
I have an old PC that I am going to try to stuff into a small table top cocktail cab, or I may just get a 60 in 1.
PS: I no longer have PS so am using gimp, I miss my old job.
