JMDickson:

A CGA to VGA converter basically converts 15khz video to 31khz.  Typically they are called line-doublers, and are a type of scan converter.  These can be used to display video from an arcade board on a VGA monitor.
You are trying to go the other way (VGA to CGA).

me:

okay thing are getting CLEAR...

now...is there such thing called VGA TO CGA CONVERTER?? ???

as you said it was the other way around...thanks for all the help.... :o

JMDickson:

Yeah, it's called a scan converter  :-/  You can find them in a wide range of prices and quality.  You need something that has RGB output to interface with the monitor.
