My Galaxy S7 will slide in whenever the mood strikes.... or maybe my old S4 permanently. Joy via Digikey and buttons and usb interface from A-zon. Marquee, hoping to find a battery operated led Keychain. Wood will be 5mm mdf. 5 or 6 buttons for multiple emus.

Haha - that's awesome. Little joystick is cute. I like everything about this  :applaud:

Have you thought about lowering the CP just in case someone can't reach the controls?  :laugh2:

Next will be a working mockup using foam board. I'll need to incorporate some small buttons for Coin, Start, and Exit as well. Should go much faster than the 2 years it took to plan and build my full size cab!😁 At least I don't have to Daisy chain grounds in that small amount of real estate.

Slow going, but have to get the dimensions right to fit my phone. Controls and interface are bought, cutting the cp and figuring out artwork will be the only p.i.t.a. obstacles I can see coming up.

Ah, was hoping there was a new model out or something.  Just boggles me how much those cost.

Not the final marquee, buttons not wired, and phone is actually resting on the micro to usb adaptor rather than the supports. Small administration buttons to be added near base: coin, start and exit. One of my joy solders has come undone. Verified emulators work with display on top: snes, gba, genesis  and n64. Purchased Cricut vinyl paper for artwork. Still deciding on theme.

Yeah I remember dropping like 60 bucks on a couple for my mini.

OP do you have plans to add t-molding or a coin door?

T-moulding will be likely after I get it up and running. I'd like to have some kind of cosmetic coin door on there. I want to make sure it can function as I need it to, then think about some extras. Maybe add a flask and a PEZ dispenser.

Progress made. Primed and first coat of paint on. Marquee tested using copy paper. Marquee plastic cut. Holes drilled in front bottom for admin buttons. Lighting solution tested. Back and top cut. More paint coming, then side art will be printed and applied. Need solution for top removal or hinge, since phone slides in from top. Need to decide on artwork/color for control panel, as well as a solution for a dust washer. CP assembly and soldering will be last, if I can hold off wanting to play it. Hard to take my time.

I just used a black sharpie on a nylon washer for the dust washer on my build.
