Word of advice - spend more time around here just being a part of the community. You only post to pitch videos or when someone posts in your thread. You say you don't take things on the Internet seriously. Then brush off the comments and move on.
Im sick of it too Paul. But you're incorrect, I'm here daily. I choose to only post replies to threads i want to, including mine, other builds i like, content i want to post, etc. I choose to post less then I used to because i didn't feel i needed to be in the conversation all the time. Besides, i've taken more of a restoration approach then a build from scratch approach.
You're asking me to spend more time being part of the community, but when i make posts on stuff that i'm interested in be a part of i get negative comments by trolls. The alternative is i do what many have in the past and take my ball and go home, deleting threads and comments alike, but i'm not going to do that.
I don't take things here too seriously, which is why you see me post so little and only when its something to add.
Nice deflection, but you didn't answer my questions. Why haven't you contributed to this forum since the onset of your YouTube channel?
Because i'm not building my own, I'm working on them, and trollish comments like yours in the past have discouraged me from spending more time then i need to being part of conversations (some that frankly I'm not interested in) Some one makes a cool build, or posts something that i'm passionate about, i'll comment (and i do, maybe look at my post history)...
Of course you stand by your comments in that instigram thread because you're a coward who felt the need to stroke your narcissism by throwing fellow members of the forum under the bus trying to make it seem like you're some sort of authority on how people should post their opinions here. Or that you have some kind of idea of the spirit of the forum.
Posting your progress here IS the spirit of this forum. Not for shilling your channel.
And though it wasn't directed at me, it was directed at members who have been here contributing a long time before you arrived, AND who have been contributing while you have abandoned the spirit of this place.
I respect those members, and respect their contributions. They give credit where credit is due. They stay humble and take opinions whether negative or not, like champs. You just siphon what you can from here, repurposing it on your vids, and get butthurt when anyone has a different opinion than yours.
That's seriously wrong, man.
I'm not a coward. I'm not a narcissist. And i'm Definitely NOT an authority on anything. Maybe if you spent some time looking for the positives in what i'm trying to share you'd see that.
I'm choosing to evolve what i used to do (making threads filled with pictures and typed copy), to making videos.
And in case you failed to read my previous post, I'm not missing an opportunity to give credit anyplace.
If people want to have a different opinion thats awesome, and i champion that. But when people go and discourage someone from continuing to add content (as per the conversation i had with Chris on Instagram), then Thats bad. For all of us.
Maybe, just maybe instead of wasting your time posting negative, unsolicited, and passive aggressive comments like this:
^ Its alright. Whenever Chance posts that happens anyway.
Ugh. What a waste of a great game.
...you just stop opening threads i create?
