I'm anxiously watching this project! Streets of Rage (specifically 2) is my favorite! I was looking into doing similar artwork on my next project. Grats on a good choice
First Build: Multicade
Second Build: Nintendo Bartop

Looking great man, PLEASE tell me you are going with hidden hinges on that front panel. I literally cringed when I saw those 3 gate hinges.....

Don't worry the gate hinges will be removed soon.  :)

Speakers fitted.

Amplifier arrived.

Amplifier fitted to the cabinet, sounds great too.

Time to work on the Control Panel Polycarbonate sheet.

I created a template Control Panel so that I could sandwhich the Polycarbonate between the real control panel and the template in preparation for cutting.

Polycarbonate placed between the real CP and template CP to prevent the sheet from flexing while I drill out the button holes.

From what I have read the flexing of plexi/lexan/polycarbonate when cutting or drilling is what causes the material to crack.

Holes drilled through the Polycarbonate.

Just need to drill out the joystick holes now.

The end result. The angles at the bottom of the CP was cut with a jigsaw using a plastic cutting blade.

Spray painted the Control Panel black, I noticed that most real arcade machines have a simple Control Panel, so I followed suit.

Nice shiny control panel.

Added buttons and ball tops.

Ipac2 mounted and ready for wiring.

I didn't want this page to fall into page 2 hell. Updates?

Photobucket did that to everyone. Its why everyone says to host the images on this website.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

The pictures are back though. With a nice Photobucket water mark. I hope no-one paid 400 dollar for that.
