RetroPie and UHID
« on: January 25, 2017, 03:01:36 pm »
Hello, working on getting off-road to work on a PI.  Got the steering wheels and buttons working.  Cannot get the pot gas pedals to work with a UHID.  Trying  Advance Mame as there are many more analog options.  It is recognized when using the advv.  But not inside of Mame config.  Anyone try this yet if have suggestions?

Thanks😀

Hi. Did you find a solution? I just picked up a Super Off Road with non-working board and am looking to MAME it up using a Raspberry Pi. Did you use an Opti-PAC for the wheels or something else?

i wonder if you can manually update the /opt/retropie/configs/mame-advmame   .rc files, that way you don't have to worry about trying to set it up from the mame GUI's tab menu.

thinking along the lines of how you setup a spinner with retropie in advance mame.

Everything was working until I tried to get the pedals up and running.  I played with advmame utilities and they were recognized, but never could get them working in the game.  I moved on from the project for now as I think some of the emulator software needs updating.  I was going to try it again this winter to see if anything was fixed.

Thanks for the reply. I am about to embark on this myself and I now have all the parts. I'll let you know if I find a working solution!

Sorry for the necro bump but I'm about to start on this myself. Did anyone get the pi working with a uhid on a super off road cab?
Thanks,
Andy
