Most Powerful 2D accelerator for Arcade Monitors
« on: June 06, 2002, 12:48:44 pm »
I am beginning my first MAME arcade project, and I just wanted to know what the best 2D accelorator card, or just the best graphics card for running MAME on an arcade monitor. I want to interface the card directly to the arcade monitor, so I suppose it would have to support a 15khz output signal. Thanks!

It depends on whether you intend to run windows or not. For plain DOS, there are loads of cards that will give you 15khz but for windows there are very few with supported drivers.
